Kobayakawa Sena is a little guy who always get picked on by the bullies in school. Coincidentally, Hiruma Youichi and Kurita Ryukan are looking for a fast running back for their American Football team (Amefuto) and want to put Sena in the team. To hide their new 'star' player from the eyes of other High Schools, Hiruma encases Sena in a Amefuto helmet with a dark visor and name him Eyeshield #21.

The protagonist of the series is Sena Kobaykawa, a shy kid with a light physique, he is a first year at Deimon Senior High, since kindergarden he has always been the gopher of the bullies at school, to the point that he's gotten really swift and fast. Hiruma, a demon-like quarterback and Kurita, good natured lineman are the only guys on the American Football team (Deimon Devil Bats) and are desperately trying to make people join the team. After Hiruma sees Sena's running he is made join the team and becomes Eyeshield 21, wearing an eyeshield helmet to protect his identity from other teams he becomes known as "the mysterious hero from Notre Dame". In his second game he should meet his rival, Seijuro Shin, who is known as the fastest linebacker in the history of japanese football. Eventually more people will join and strengthen the team. By overcoming fears and challenges Deimon plans to win the fall tournament and beat all the teams in the kanto area.

One spring evening Ai finds a bottle on the beach. She picks it up, opens it and finds a mysterious message written inside. “Plant a Conifer, and on the night of the Snow Festival something miraculous will happen.”

Time passes, and soon it's time for the Snow Festival. This year it will be one very special day, and send an uproar throughout the village. Ai, following the instructions in that mysterious message, has planted a Conifer. What kind of miracle will happen on the night of the Snow Festival...?

Question: What made you want to start watching Anime?

Answer: We mentioned this in our 'how it all began section' but it was the general look and feel of Anime. We enjoy the vast genres of all the animes created and it helps pass the time. Without Anime we would be so bored!

Question: You have started watching live-action J-dramas as well as Anime. Which of the two do you prefer watching?

Answer: Thats a tough question. I would say we enjoy watching both of them equally as much but it all depends on which we are in the mood of watching. For example sometimes we feel like watching a 20min anime episode rather than a long 40min live-action ep where we may have to contrentrate more on the storyline. Sometimes we like watching live-actions since they are longer and the storylines are absolutely amazing in them.

Question: Only name one show and tell us which is your favorite anime and favorite live-action so far.

Answer: For anime it would be Bleach. For live-action it would be Kurosagi(amazing storyline).

Question: Sometimes you copy descriptions from Drama-wiki and ANN encylopedia. Are you worried you may be seen as leechers?

Answer: We are not really worried about that since we respect those type of sites and feel that a description cannot be written any better than how it is written. We generally like to add our own comments of the shows and to add on to the descriptions but sometimes it isnt necessary.

Question: Are you worried about posting download links on this blog?

Answer: Not at all, since we only post links to fan-subbers' sites and places where people can download the shows (mostly torrents). We ourselves do not host or offer any torrents/files/subs to be downloaded from this blog. If we notice there is a problem with postling links to other sites then we will remove them.

Question: How long do you intend to keep running this blog?

Answer: Who knows... it all depends on if we ever get bored of it or dont have the time to watch any more shows.. which we hope never happens!

Question: What happens when you have watched all the shows in your 'currently watching' secion?

Answer: Nothing. We just find more shows to add to it ((laughter)).

Question: You seem to enjoy Japanese culture alot. Have you considered watching shows from countries such as China and Korea?

Answer: We do have a keen interest to watch shows from different countries. We have enjoyed watching movies from China such as 'Kung-Fu Hustle' and 'Shaolin Soccer' and 'Ong Bak' from thailand. As for tv-shows, stay tuned since we are going to be posting some new shows in the future.

Question: Do you feel as if your blog is just like the rest of the millions of Anime fan-blogs out there?

Answer: Its pretty much the same however we are one of the few that actually post the download links to sites that offer subbed files, etc. Also we only post shows that we are interested in rather than posting all the shows in the Anime database that are popular. We like to think of our blog as a personal blog of shows that we watch and if anyone happens to stumble across it then they can find links to the shows rather than just reading a long review.

Question: Have you considered beautifying your layout even more and possibly adding screenshots?

Answer: Yes we may change the layout to be more 'justified' and possibly include screenshots, around 8 or 10 of the shows so that users can see what the show is like, but that hasnt been decided yet. But anyways stay tuned for future updates!

Info: Naruto: Shippuden the Movie is the fourth film based on the Naruto manga and the first of the Naruto: Shippūden anime series. It was announced on November 22, 2006, in that week's issue of Shonen Jump. The movie was released in theaters on August 4, 2007.

Demons that once almost destroyed the world are revived by someone. To prevent the world from being destroyed, the demon has to be sealed and the only one who can do it is the shrine maiden Shion from the country of demons. She has two powers; one is sealing demons and the other is predicting the deaths of humans. This time Naruto's mission is to guard Shion, but she predicts Naruto's death. The only way to escape it is to get away from Shion, which would leave her unguarded, then the demon, whose only goal is to kill Shion will do so, thus meaning the end of the world. Naruto decides to challenge this "prediction of death."

We are looking forward to this one!! the new shippuden series is also very good!

Naruto Uzumaki, Kakashi Hatake, Sakura Haruno, and Rock Lee are assigned to protect the prince of the Land of the Moon, Michiru, during his world trip. The Land of the Moon is a very wealthy nation, so Michiru tends to buy whatever he wants, and isn't too quick to follow the directions of his escorts. His son, Hikaru, also acts in much the same manner, annoying Naruto. When Hikaru takes a liking to a rare sabertoothed tiger featured at a circus, Michiru ends up purchasing not only it, but the whole circus as well. Now the team has to look over both their client and his newly-acquired pets.

After returning to the Land of the Moon, they find that the country has been taken over by Shabadaba, one of the nobles. Having hired three powerful ninja to assist him, Shabadaba has disposed of the king and plans to do the same with Michiru and Hikaru, the remaining heirs to the throne. He orders the military forces to kill them all, but the team is able to escape with the help of some soldiers still loyal to the king.

Escaping to a hidden cave, Michiru finds that his father is still alive, but Sakura is only able to keep him alive for a short period. Before dying, the king tells Michiru and Hikaru that people are truly important in life, not material goods. During an attempt to escape the country by boat, the three ninja hired by Shabadaba attack, disabling Naruto, Kakashi, Sakura, and Lee with sense-dulling poison. The prince is captured, but the emergence of Naruto's fox chakra allows him to repell the attacking ninja before the prince's son can be taken.

At the castle, Shabadaba's reasons for taking over the country are revealed to be purely material, the same things Michiru considers important. He realizes what his father meant as Shabadaba decides to put him to death. Rather than do this quickly, Shabadaba decides to amuse himself by conducting a drawn-out hanging: he has Michiru balance on a board of wood not strong enough to support his weight while wearing a noose, ensuring that sooner or later he'll hang.

With the help of the circus Michiru purchased earlier, Kakashi's team makes a rescue attempt with Hikaru and the rogue soldiers. One by one, Kakashi and his team fight individual battles: Kakashi fights the many soldiers while each of the Genin fight one of the ninja. Using an array of chain and staff weapons, Lee defeats his opponent after some effort. Sakura is able to dispatch her poison and genjutsu-using opponent by shattering a chandelier to locate her through sound and subsequently defeat her with one punch. Naruto's battle takes the longest, as it varies between trying to rescue Michiru and actually fighting. In the penultimate scene, Naruto, his leg disabled by his opponent's strange petrification jutsu, rides on Michiru's back to attack with his Rasengan, which reflects the light of the moon in such a manner that it grows and takes on a cresent shape.

With the threat over and the country now in the hands of Michiru, who plans to be a generous ruler in honor of his father, Kakashi's team sets out for a vacation..

Naruto: Great Clash! The Illusionary Ruins at the Depths of the Earth

The movie opens with a battle taking place at night on a desolate seaside beach between Sunagakure ninja and soldiers wearing bulky suits of armor. Despite their best efforts, the Sand-ninja are slowly overwhelmed by the sheer strength of their mysterious opponents. The timely arrival of reinforcements led by Kankuro and Gaara turns the tide, with Kankuro slicing apart a suit of armor with his puppet, and Gaara dispatching a large number of enemies en masse with his signature Desert Imperial Funeral. However, when Gaara orders the Sand-nin to shine a flare at the retreating enemies, a large warship, which resembles a pre-World War I dreadnought, arrives to reinforce them. The ship then opens fire with its guns and Gaara's sand armor barely manages to protect his comrades.

The movie stars Naruto Uzumaki, Shikamaru Nara, and Sakura Haruno as they deliver a lost pet to its village. However, a mysterious knight called Temujin intercepts them and they fight, causing both Temujin and Naruto to be knocked off a cliff. As Shikamaru and Sakura realize what has happened to Naruto, a giant ship appears.

Naruto wakes up to find himself bandaged and travelling in a caravan. He also finds Temujin asleep beside him. When Temujin awakens the lost pet seems to be attracted to him. The caravan is part of a moving country.

Meanwhile Sakura and Shikamaru split up to search for Naruto. Shikamaru spies on the fortress and finds a lab with children in capsules. Two women with similar armor to what Temujin was wearing are talking about the Gelel Stone

The movie revolves mostly around a special mineral called the Gelel Stone, which has a strong and mysterious power. There was once a clan that could control the stone's powers (the traveling caravan and Temujin are part of this clan), but they were destroyed because of fights for the stone.

Naruto: Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow

The movie begins with a heroine previously unknown in the Naruto continuity: Princess Fuun (Princess Gale in the US version). Fuun's nemesis, Mao, challenges her group with an army of undead soldiers. His dark intentions seem to prevail, that is, until Princess Fuun and her cohorts, Shishimaru, Brit, and Tsukuyaku, unleash the power of the Seven-Color-Chakra upon him. They save the day, and Naruto, watching from afar, couldn't be more elated.

As it turns out, Naruto is partially imagining the situation. He is actually watching the scene in a movie, as is the rest of Team 7. But then, the audience of the movie starts to throw objects at the team for making so much noise while arguing with the cinema manager. Kakashi had sent them to watch it as preparation for their next mission: guarding Fujikaze Yukie, the actress who plays Princess Fuun, while she makes the next movie in the Land of Snow. As it turns out, Yukie is actually the princess of the Land of Snow, which was taken over by rogue ninja when she was a child. The leader of the rogue ninja, Doto Kazahana, wants Yukie's crystal necklace to unlock the Land of Snow's treasure, which Yukie's father had hidden before being assassinated. After various battles between Team 7 and the rogue ninja, resulting in the defeat of all and the death of Nadare their leader, Doto succeeds in obtaining Yukie's necklace, only to discover that the "treasure" of the Land of Snow is a generator designed to melt the snow and bring Spring to the country. Doto is then defeated by Naruto in a manner reminicient of Princess Fuun's defeat of Mao, involving "rainbow chakra".

With the rogue ninja all gone,Yukie has decided to resume her position as the princess of the Land of Snow, which will eventually become the Land of Spring after the technology behind the generator is perfected. Despite being a princess, Yukie intends to continue acting, and the next film she's starring in is an adaptation of one of Jiraiya's Icha Icha novels,(Makeout Paradise: The Movie) much to Kakashi's surprise, who says "That script! She's perfect!"(This was actually seen on episode 100, Kakashi staring at a billboard advertisement of the movie.)

He works with the master swindler Katsuragi Toshio (Yamazaki Tsutomu) even though Toshio had a hand in the destruction of Kurosaki’s family.

Kurosaki's life begins to change when he meets Yoshikawa Tsurara (Horikita Maki), a young law student who disapproves of his disrespect of the law. Can she persuade Kurosaki to give up swindling and his quest for revenge?

Toyokawa Etsushi and Ito Hideaki appear together for the first time in what is a never-before-seen lawyer-oriented drama. The original work by Iura Hideo, "Bengoshi no Kuzu," is currently being published by Big Comic Original. Our main character, Kuzu Motohito--aka "scum lawyer"--will do just about anything if it means he can win in court. Lawyers aren't on the side of justice! The law isn't meant to punish people, it's meant to save them! At least, that's this guy's secret motto. High school drop-out, lover of money and women, rude demeanor, and a vulgar mouth. This ridiculous excuse for a lawyer (played by Toyokawa Etsushi) has his first challenge in this comedy as the character Kuzu Motohito. And then there's Takeda Masami (played by Ito Hideaki) who works with Kuzu; Takeda Masami is a wet behind the ears lawyer who is touched by the very idea of justice. Takashima Reiko plays the capable female lawyer, Kato Tetsuko. "You'll laugh, you'll cry...a satisfying Legal Human Comedy that breaks through all the rules of the legal world."

This show is short(5 eps) but sweet! great action, and a cool storyline. Is definitely one of those you should watch!

The TV anime series is set in a "futuristic, yet feudal Japan," and stars a samurai named Afro for his hair. The story follows Afro as he tries to avenge his father's murder. In the world of Afro Samurai, it is said that the one who becomes "Number One", will rule the world, wielding powers akin to a god. Someone becomes Number One by killing the previous Number One and taking his ceremonial headband. However, the only rule in this world is that only the "Number Two" (also designated by a sacred headband) is allowed to fight the "Number One." The downside of this is that anyone (and typically everyone) can challenge and try to kill the Number Two, to gain the right to move forward and challenge Number One. Afro Samurai's father was the old Number One, until he was challenged by a gunman, "Justice" (who was then Number Two), who fought him in a duel to become the new Number One. This is a nice anime to watch. It features great animation as well as good action throughout the series. The storyline however does stray from the main one during the middle episodes but recaps later on in the series. The intro song for this is also really good!

Description: Souchirou Nagi and Bob Makihara are two delinquents who arrive at Toudou Academy with the objective of ruling over the school with their strength. But on their first day, they encountered the Jyuukenbu, a martial arts group of the school. Members of the group, Maya Natsume, her sister Aya, and Masataka Takayanagi easily overpowered Souchirou and Bob. And what's more, due to what was assumed to be their "connections" with the Jyuukenbu, the two were attacked by members of the Enforcement Group, which oversees the martial arts groups of the school. Drawn into the personal conflicts between the Jyuukenbu and the Enforcement Group, Souchirou and Bob have no choice but to join up with Maya Natsume's group and to hone their skills to become even stronger

There are altogether seven "Masters" who can summon their respective "Servants" from different classes known as Saber, Archer, Rider, Berserker, Lancer, Caster and Assasin. Its basically about a mafia family where the son wants to take over his father but has to go back to school because he lacks knowledge and was a drop out. The comedy value comes into action when he has to hide his identity from his schoolmates at the same time do well in exams.

Description: Sakaki "Tornado" Makio (Nagase Tomoya) is a tough 27-year-old high school drop-out. By academic standards, he's pretty dumb. His father decides to force Makio to return to high school to receive his diploma and he asks an old friend who happens to be the principal (Iwaki Koichi) of a nearby school to admit Makio. If Makio doesn't graduate, the position of boss will be given to his younger brother Mikio (Kikawada Masaya).

Furthermore, he must pose as a 17-year-old during school hours and in the presence of any classmates or teachers outside of school. If his cover is blown, it would be the end of his high school career as well as his hopes to become boss. Things start out rough and tough as Makio's violent temper is tested. As the lessons and days go by he learns there is much more to school than just tests and studying.

10 Reasons why we should watch Japanese Dramas

Some of us can be sceptical when it comes to watching shows in a different language or with subtitles while others can be more free and easy going and can enjoy a variety of cultural shows from around the world.

I am going to discuss the 10 reasons why we should watch Japanese dramas (live action) and why they can be fun to watch!

1) Entertainment Value: If we look at normal shows like popular american soaps and dramas, each can be entertaining while some might not be everyone's cup of tea. The good thing about J-dramas is that 9 of 10 times when you watch one you will be somewhat entertained by watching it and not feel as if you have wasted any time doing so.

2) Distinctive Genres: Each drama has its own distinctive genre such as romance, comedy, school life, thriller, etc. While other genres can be seen within each other eg. romance and school life the main plot is usually to the point and conveys a specific message the makers of the show wanted us to see.

3) Story line: In most of the J-dramas the story line is continuous. What this means is that something that happened in episode 1 will be recapped and continued in episode 2. By the end of the series it will feel as if you have just watched a really long movie.

4) Characters: Each drama has its own adorable and detestable character. While it may sound a bit obvious, the fact still remains that when we watch a J-Drama we will definitely fall in love with specific characters and watch them grow through out the series while we will envy others who are trying to plot evil schemes against our favorite characters in the shows.

5) Acting: The acting in a J-drama is surprisingly good! The actors in each show I have watched have done really good jobs at playing the role they were intended to. Not once did any of the actors look as if they were over-acting or under-performing in their given role. It is this reason that we end up liking the characters they act as and start liking them even more.

6) Culture: Its always interesting to see different cultures on screen. When we watch a J-drama we can get to learn about many differing things that go on with the everyday lives of Japanese people. We can even learn about small things such as how when people are about to eat they say 'itadakimasu'.

7) Episodes: Each series usually ranges between 10 to 12 episodes with special one-off episodes that are made after the series is complete. Each episode is usually an hour long which is good as we get to enjoy more of the show instead of having to wait another day to see what happens next.

8) Good sense of humor: Each series has its own share of humor within the show. If its a thriller, horror or family drama, then each show usually has some quirky moments that make you feel good when you watch it!

9) Re-watch Value: Once you finish a series and wait a while, you wont feel so bad watching the series a second time ;) If you recommend the series to a friend and watch it for the 2nd time with them, you wont feel as if you are bored and because of the way the shows are made and feel like 'mini-movies' you can enjoy parts of it that you might have missed the first time. If you have watched a series for a 2nd time you will understand the point I am trying to covey here ;)

10) Real Life: In my opinion each show can easily be related to real life. For example in each show we get to see the characters go through every-day problems that we can all relate to. If its a job, school, family or any issue, we can relate to some of those with our own experiences.

There are also two new regular characters -- Dante's agent Morrison who visits frequently, and Patty Royale, a young orphan girl he saved in the first episode, who either visits as well, or lives with him.

While the show's stories are mostly self-contained, a season-long plot which was introduced in episode one comes to the forefront in episodes 10 and 11.

Kazuyuki's neighbor, Yusuke Sugio, however, leads a completely different life. The breadwinner of his family is his wife Shoko, who runs her own company. Yusuke is a so-called "at-home dad", and because of this, Kazuyuki considers him miserable and helpless.

Suddenly one day, Kazuyuki is forced to quit his company. At the same time, his wife receives a call from her former employer saying he wants her to come back to work. Consequently, Kazuyuki has no other choice but to stay at home while Miki works. Kazuyuki reluctantly starts his new life as a household husband—the last thing he wanted to do.

At first this show may seem a little serious and weird but later on you get to love all the characters in it. The main character does a great job of playing an obsessive and strange man who just cant get married.

Shinsuke Kuwano (Abe Hiroshi), a successful architect at 40, enjoys living by himself. He doesn’t like people but somehow is able to design wonderful houses for them.

He has a routine of making himself a delicious dinner and then relaxing to classical music in his easy chair. (He likes to pretend he is the conductor.) One night, he plays the music loud enough to make his next door neighbor, Michiru Tamara (Kuninaka Ryoko) knock on his door to complain. When Kuwano answers the door, he suffers a terrible stomach pain and collapses to the floor. Lucky for him, his neighbor Michiru is nice enough to accompany him to the hospital, where he is treated by Dr. Natsumi Hayasake (Natsukawa Yui). He is really rude to Natsumi, but she is still determined to treat him.

Afterwards, Michiru and Natsumi become part of Kuwano’s life. They make friends with Kuwano’s colleagues Eiji (Tsukamoto Takashi) and Maya Sawazaki (Takashima Reiko). They all enjoy talking about how strange and eccentric Kuwano is. Is it possible that someone would ever want to marry him?

Based on the manga series of the same name, Toda Erika plays an honest college student, Kanzaki Nao, who receives a hundred million yen one day, along with a card saying she has been chosen to take part in the "Liar Game". The aim of the game is to trick the other players out of their hundred million dollars. At the end, the winner gets the hundred million and the loser is a hundred million yen in debt. The next day, she receives notification that her opponent is her former teacher, Fujisawa Kazuo. She goes to him, seeking help, but ends up getting tricked into handing her money over. Desperate, she approaches the police for help, but they are unable to do anything. However, she is told of a mastermind swindler, Akiyama Shinichi, who is to be released from jail the next day. Desperate, she goes to him for help.

This show is quite good and has an interesting plot. It is one of those psychological thrillers a bit like death note.

Recently I have taken interest in Matsumoto Jun. You might know him as Doumyouj from Hana Yori Dango and as Shin in Gokusen. In Kimi wa Petto he plays the role of Momo who is a pet of a business woman. The theme of the show is fairly bizarre but makes an entertaining show in the process.

After a terrible day at work and a bad break up, Iwaya Sumire played by Koyuki returns home sad, depressed, and most of all lonely. However, at the front of the apartment she finds an unconscious young man lying in a cardboard box. Feeling sorry for him, she takes him into her home and nurses him back to health. As the young man, played by Matsumoto Jun, gets better he begins to like her place and resolves not to leave her. In fact, he even professes that he'll do anything she wanted if she allowed him to stay. Sumire looks over at a picture of the golden retriever that she had when she was a child and jokingly says to him, "You can stay if you become my pet."

To her surprise, he agrees. She names him Momo.

Based on Yayoi Ogawa's manga series of the same name. Also known as "Tramps Like Us" (TokyoPop licensed American version).

Foobar2000 is an advanced audio player for the Windows platform. Some of the basic features include full unicode support, ReplayGain support and native support for several popular audio formats.

Audio formats supported: MP1, MP2, MP3, MP4, MPC, AAC, Ogg Vorbis, FLAC / Ogg FLAC, WavPack, WAV, AIFF, AU, SND, CDDA, WMA.

Ok Ive been using this player for some time now and have to admit that its really good. Its very low on resources (which is a really good thing!) and supports all the audio formats. When you want to play a game and have music in the background it can be very useful. If you are after a mp3 player for your computer to play all those albums/anime soundtracks then this is the player of you!

The best feature that I like is the tab system with the new version. Like in mozilla firefox you can create tabs of your albums and collections of music and best of all rename them! When you close it and open it again, it will remember all your tabs. The skins can also be changed. e.g: the colors used to display text and more things.

To control the volume you use the +/- buttons and I think the default setup does not have a scroller volume control to offer but still its ok since you get used to using the +/- to adjust volumes (I use the +/- on the numpad area).

It can be compared to winamp in the sense of being less resource-hogging than winamp but fails to deliver other functions such as an online radio like winamp. Still its a good music player software and is worth a shot!

Overall I rate this application 8/10 for being low on resources and ability to tab albums ;)

Busou Renkin: Arms Alchemist

She implants the only other successful work of alchemy than the Homunculus, the Kakugane, to take the place of Kazuki's heart. The Kakugane resonates with his fighting spirit and forms a Busou Renkin (in his case a spear) so he can fight the Homunculus monsters who prey on humans. Kazuki joins with Tokiko to battle with the Homunculi and protect his friends and his sister Mahiro.

Golden Boy

The story of each volume is about the same. Kintaro finds a job somewhere. His boss is most of the time a beautiful woman that has no respect for him, especially when he starts to make silly stuff. The boss finds him pretty stupid, and after some time, fires him. But there's always a little event at the end that makes the girl who hated Kintaro fall in love with him. But it's too late, because Kintaro is already gone on his bicycle, traveling again.

Follow Kintaro in the 6 volumes of Golden Boy, where a lot of laughs are waiting for you. This show is quite rare now and is similar to the show Junk Boy but has more eps to watch.

Cant believe we didnt put this up before. Ranma 1/2 is a classic! Meet Saotome Ranma, a sixteen year old martial artist with a very unusual life. Being cursed by the Jusenkyou springs, he becomes a cute busty red-headed girl when splashed with cold water. It doesn't help at all that some of his rivals, Kunou for example, are in love with his female side. Being engaged to THREE girls due to unusual circumstances further complicates Ranma's wacky life.

Ranma is not the only one afflicted with a curse. Ryouga turns into a pig and sometimes acts as Akane's pet, going to bed with her at night. Shampoo, one of Ranma's fiancees, turns into a cat - much to the chagrin of poor Ranma who is deathly afraid of cats due to a traumatic childhood experience with cats, partially the fault of his father Genma who turns into a panda.

And along the way, she makes friend with Rui, a person who has helped her often, and falls in love with him. Shortly after, her head rival, Tsukasa, also reveals that he likes her. This turn-around situation puts Tsukushi in a very difficult position as she doesn't know what to do.

Full Metal Alchemist.

Haven't posted in awhile. I have not really been watching that much anime, been a bit busy with work. Started to watch FMA from episodes 21 where I had left off. This show is amazing, the story line is great. I find that this is a much more entertaining show than Bleach because it develops the characters and the bond between the brothers is well displayed. This show can be at times, touching, violent and funny. Something that many animes lack. If you're starting out on anime this would probably be a good place to start. The story can be slow to pick up, pretty much like Bleach but it is worth it. An excellent show that I highly reccommend.

Great Teacher Onizuka

This show is very interesting and has a nice feel to it.

In this world, there exist people with special abilities to manipulate objects and transform those objects into other objects. These people are known as alchemist. However, this manipulation process does not come without cost, as the basic alchemy rules stated that something with equivalent cost is needed to perform the manipulation.

The main character is a famous alchemist named Edward Elric, who loses his little brother Alphonse in an accident. Edward manages to contain his brother's soul in a large piece of armor suit. However, merging the soul and body of the dearly departed comes with great cost, so the two brothers must embark on a journey to find a mysterious power amplifier which can reduce the cost to manipulate objects greatly.

Fuu convinces them both to come with her in search of a mysterious samurai that smells like sunflowers and their journey begins. This modernized hip-hop tale breaks the barriers of the common, historical, samurai anime.

Train Man belongs in the so-called "Akiba-kei" category: a term that describes nerdy looking men who hang out at Akihabara (the famous electronics area in Tokyo) all day, who are obsessed with video games and computers.

This isnt animation but still its hyped up in Japan and its subbed so why not watch and enjoy it ^_^

They used to be good friends.

Each episode of this show is only 5 minutes long, so when you watch it, it feels like they have tried to fit in lots of information into one scene and scenes move really fast. Apart from that the show is cool to watch since it involves a vampire based theme.

DC++ Guide

Here is a small guide on how to use DC++ to obtain some Anime. You can use DC++ if you have trouble getting stuff from Torrents or other P2P methods.

Description: DC++ is an open-source, ad and spyware-free client, written in C++ for the Direct Connect protocol originally developed by Neo-Modus.com, that allows you to share files over the internet with other users. The client is often updated at least once a month for bugs and new features. So basically its a P2P application.

Download: here and install it on your computer.

Once you install it and run the program, go to File->Settings and enter a username, connection type, etc:

Next click on "Downloads" on the left, and choose a download directory of your choice:

Then click on "Sharing" and choose a directory that you will share. This is very important as many hubs require you to share at least 5GB of files. So best to choose a folder with lots of Anime files and make sure its at least 5GB and if possible bigger:

Also choose your upload slots based on your connection type.

This is not necessary to do but is useful. Click on "Appearance" and tick the box to "Minimize to tray" so that you can minimize it. Never click the "X" because it closes the whole app and stops all downloads. So use the "_" minimize button to send to tray.

Now everything should be set up, so click on the "Public Hubs" button, or go to View->Public Hubs. It should look something like this:

Pay attention to the Users column and Filter area.

Now to look for Anime, type "anime" in the Filter box and hit Enter.

Make sure it is sorted by Users so click on Users field to sort it. Then double click on a hub name that you want to go to. Usually start from the top and work your way down.

The hub layout should look like this:

Next say if you want to search for something, then click on View->Search:

In the search screen type the name of Anime you are looking for, and select the suitable File type you want and Free user slots option if you dont want to wait:

Give it a little time and it should bring files that users have on their computers to share. Then just double click a file to download it to yours. Look at other user's connection type, its always best to download from someone who has the fastest connection and lots of free slots.

You can also look at individual user's files. Just go to the hub chat area and sort the list by "Shared" and look at each user's files.

This should help you getting started with DC++, but with this type of program downloads are not instant, you will have to wait sometimes in queues and downloads may not always be fast, it all depends on the user you are getting it from.

I saw the first ep of this but it was dubbed in english and the voice acting wasnt very good I have to say... however I recommend that people get the Jap version with subs as its much better. Site 1 is for the dual audio version that has the jap and eng subs and eng dubbing so use VLC(get from media playing section) player for this. Site 2 is for the wmv version but the quality is not as good as avi. The plot is cool and has some nice action.

King of Fighters Manga.

I found out the irc group for kof manga and a manga site (manganews.net) and added it to the links area. Be sure to check that site out for more manga comic stuff. Right now Im gonna check out KOF: Kyo which looks quite interesting, and also there is KOF: RX which I think has just started.

No one really knows what the 60 billion dollar-wanted-man named Vash really looks like, only what damage he has been fabled to have caused. Due to over 300 insurance claims filed by the inhabitants of the cities Vash the Stampede has supposedly demolished, the FIA has sent two claims inspectors - Meryl Stryfe & Milly Thompson - to find Vash and investigate / fine him for all the damage he has caused. Now Vash must not only deal with merciless bounty hunters, but hounding insurance companies too in a setting very reminiscent of such American westerns as Bonanza or Gunsmoke. This show is old now (1998) but still good to watch. The character "Vash" is really funny to watch as well.

In the end of 15th century, there was a tragedy on the Greece which was the planet 200 millions light years away from the Earth. There was Princess Tina who was treated as an ultimate weapon, because she had an overwhelming power, and there was a civil war for her power. After numerous sacrifices, Tina used a reincarnation machine made by the latest technologies of the planet.

Successfully, Tina could reincarnate as an Earthian. However, her memory of the previous life was hidden deep in her mind. She continued 'natural reincarnation', and she was born as an orphan, Helga, in 2001 when 500 years after her arrival.

When Helga was 11 years old, she had a fateful encounter with a boy, Toma, on a small southern island. Toma began to be attracted by the girl who was silent and put a mysterious air.

However, the chasers from Greece were approaching to search for Helga who had reincarnated. They were seven scientists who wanted to get back her spirit, Geolca who wanted to obtain the overwhelming power, and Duma who was the son of Geolca. Toma fought against them for his life to protect Helga.

What had happened on Greece far away from the Earth 500 years before?
What were true aims of seven scientists, Geolca, and Duma?
What did the encounter of Helga and Toma imply?

Yagi Takeru has been living in the Touma family's house since his parents died. He was raised by Touma Rokunosuke, the head of the house. He is surrounded by many people such as Yamato Takeshi, his best friend-cum-rival from the kendo club, the Shiratori sisters, Kotono and Asuka, and his childhood friend, Oosu Seri. Life has been blissful until one day, an earthquake strikes the school and everything changes. Takeru awakens to find that the school looks as if it has been abandoned for centuries and reduced to ruins. He also realise that all the teachers and students have disappeared as well. He meets up with Seri and Asuka and they fled from the ruins, only to realise that the town they used to live in is completely empty. Subsequently, people wrapped in cloaks appear before him. They were told that they have been brought to another world. So far I have only seen the first episode of this show but I have to say I would give it a 9/10....there is not much that happens in the first episode but the ending is amazing and I can't wait to get the next episode. Definitely one to watch!

Cosmic Era 73. Though the signing of a peace treaty brought the war between the Naturals and Coordinators to an apparent close, tensions fueled by the continued threat of Blue Cosmos continue to run high. During a conference between PLANT chairman Gilbert Dullindal and Orb representative Cagalli Yula Athha concerning the threat of a new military arms race, an Alliance special forces team attacks the ZAFT base they're meeting at and makes off with three new Gundam mobile suits. Forced to pursue them, Shinn Asuka of ZAFT and Athrun Zala of Orb set out aboard the new space battleship Minerva, and engage the retreating Alliance strike team in combat. But just as they catch up to the fleeing ship, the crew of the Minerva receives word of an even greater catastrophe in the making, which will undoubtedly re-ignite the brutal war between the Naturals & Coordinators all over again. Again not my favourite genre, this one however, is not as good as Gundam Seed 5/10 for this anime, have only seen a few episodes so can't give a decent review but it is an enjoyable show.

Gundam Seed

Heliopolis, a so-called neutral space colony was holding a top-secret weapons research facility, producing Gundams for the Earth Alliance. ZAFT, which is composed of Coordinators (genetically modified/upgraded humans), attacks Heliopolis, stealing 4 out of the Alliance's 5 Gundams. In the battlefield, civilian Kira Yamato stumbles upon the Strike, the last remaining Gundam of the alliance, and is forced to pilot it. In the midst of battle he encounters his best friend, Athrun Zala, as one of the hijackers of the 5 Gundams, who sides with ZAFT. Being a Coordinator, he is the only one who can pilot the Gundam. But Kira is not with ZAFT, even though they're his own kind, nor the Alliance. Since the Alliance is the only place he could turn to at the time, he sides with them. He pilots the Gundam to protect his friends, and to fight his best friend, which pains both of them. It's a war between individual beliefs. I'm not really into Mecha myself but this is a good show 6/10.

Gon Freeks is a kid from a small village who dreams of becoming a hunter so he can seek out his father, whom he has never met. But in order to do so he must first pass the hunter exam where some of the most dangerous people in the world gather. At first when I started watching the first few eps I thought this would be a really boring show. However, the show picks up the pace and soon you'll want to watch episode after episode non stop. The characters are funny and the baddies are very bad. The show ends in an explosive finale. There are also quite a few movies out there. You may also recognise Gon's Voice Actor, Junko Takeuchi, who also provides the voice for Naruto.

Azuma Kazuma isn't terribly clever, but he's got a good heart and great skill - at baking. Since childhood, he's been on a quest to create the perfect bread to represent Japan internationally. Now, he seeks to enter the famous bakery Pantasia, in hopes of reaching his goal. But plots abound. This show may sound pretty stupid but it is my favourite anime. Though the storyline is simple, the writers manage to make a mere bread making competition into something that would rival any action scene from your favourite action film. The highlight of each episode, is when someone tastes another's bread. The reactions are extremely exaggerated but are so funy to watch you'll probably wet yourself; plenty of diapers are advised when watching this. Azuma and Kawachi are the main characters in this film and are a great team. Their manager (who is always referred to as "Tencho", and who's eyes we never see) and their colleague (always left to do all the work) also bring alot of humour to the series.

One day, Manaka Junpei walks to the roof of his school and encounters a beautiful girl falling down from above him and accidentally exposing her strawberry panties. The embarrassed girl runs away before Junpei can find out whom she is. He wishes to become a filmmaker, and this whole experienced seemed like it would make the perfect scene in a movie. And so he goes on a search for the girl with the strawberry panties in order to reenact it all on film. But he will soon discover that finding that one girl will not be that easy. This show is very funny and also contains romance. It is aimed towards boys its in the Shounen genre. I would rate it 6/10 I have to say my favourite episode has to be when they go to the beach, it is absolutely hilarious!!!!! That ep alone would get 9/10.

As the Pirate King Gold Roger was executed he revealed that his treasure, known as "One Piece", was hidden somewhere on the Grand Line. Monkey D. Luffy dreams of finding the legendary treasure and becoming the Pirate King, and after eating the devil's fruit gains the power to do so. But first he must find a crew... This show is extremely entertaining and has some pretty odd characters. I wont give too much away as you'll want to see this for yourself. It has been out for quite some time and there are about 250 episodes out there. On top of that there are 7 movies of it, so downloading all of these eps will take a while, but its definitely worth the time and hard disk space! This show has been licenced in the US and is on air on Toonami, so if you are in the US and have access to that channel let us know if it has been edited much from its orginal version. I have only seen 10 episodes so far, but I will be getting the rest very soon. Each episode ends with a great cliffhanger and luckily we dont have to wait a week for the next episode.

Dragon Ball Z

No anime site would be complete without including Dragon Ball Z. This is probably one anime that almost everyone would have heard of. Dragon Ball Z is the sequel to Dragon Ball. This series has much better animation and fighting scenes than the first show. The story follows SonGoku, who as a baby was sent to earth to destroy it (most of this is covered in Dragon Ball). Goku encounters different fighters and joins up to form the Z fighters. All of them have special powers and each have their own type of fireball attack. In this series Goku and his rival Vegeta, who are both Saiyans (a race of warriors from another planet; Vegeta is their prince) manage to become super saiyans and are virtually impossible to defeat. The story does drag on a bit as fights can last 15 episodes, but this is a classic and must be watched. The only links we have to it are to the dubbed english version, however, if any of you know where we can get the subbed versions from, please leave a comment with the link. Although this show is fairly cheesey, it does bring back memories and it is enjoyable to watch, so I give it an 9/10. Oruchuban Ebichu

Ebichu is a cute housekeeping hampster who gets into alot of trouble due to her stupidity and big mouth. This is strictly for a mature audience as it contains a fair bit of sex, sexual banter and violence, the latter is mainly towards Ebichu. Ebichu is the story of a talking hamster, her owner (a single office lady), and the good-for-nothing boyfriend she spends every other night with.It is a very funny show, however it contains alot of puns in Japanese. Luckily the subbers have made translation notes so the jokes are easily understood. Make sure you watch alone as easily shocked friends and/or family will not enjoy!
